There's a fantastic article in Rolling Stone's latest issue detailing the life and limitations of a surfer with Asperger's. It shows how the obsessive presentation in Aspies can give them great accomplishment and joy, but also shows that when those accomplishments lead to expectations from others - the inability to navigate social and competitive norms can create overwhelming anxiety.
